Great for those tight spaces, and you don't need to beat on your rachet. And as with most Mastercraft/Maximum tools, wait for it to go on sale.

It is solid, but has a weak point

In fact, I had the exact same design, but with a ratchet head. Everything else exactly the same, including the handle. I have to say: it took a lot of abuse - I used it several times with a 2ft extension bar (actually holding the bar even up high on the handle, which will make it over 2ft long). I didn't 'sit' on the bar but did put pressure on it, removing big subframe bolts (not stuck ones, but still tight). So no problems handling near 120ft.lb torque... for a while. For a while, yes, because these have a design flaw. I am mechanical engineer by formation, and if you look at the U area, at the bottom 'corners' of the U shape you notice a sharp almost 90deg angle. Such sharp angle in engineering is a big no no. because it's causes what's called 'stress concentration': this exact small corner area is where the stress gets much higher than on the rest of the metal volume. What is more, this stress is accumulating with each use, causing micro fractures that advance slowly, and ultimately the metal snaps even under a moderate load. And that's exactly where my ratchet failed. So yes, this tool is solid, the good old Maximum quality (many other Maximum tools have recently dropped in quality) just don't abuse it repeatedly.

    Yes, I recommend this product.
