Good Product, INCREDIBLE PACKAGING

The torque wrench is good and works as a torque wrench. It came with a little calibration sheet that showed the error on the torque measurements, all of which were within ±2% (Tom Tang is a good calibrator I guess). The main reason I'm writing this review is because of the packaging it came in. Anyone who's ever bought a Milwaukee tool will know that you need knives, scissors, and every sharp edge under the sun just to get it open. When I saw the package on this, the dread of going through all of that set in immediately. Imagine my surprise when IT WAS JUST PLASTIC CLIPS HOLDING IT IN. NO HORRIFIC PACKAGING. JUST NEEDED A GOOD TUG AND IT CAME OPEN. MASTERCRAFT PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU, GIVE THE PACKAGING DESIGNER A RAISE. I WILL PAY FOR IT OUT OF POCKET. Maybe give Tom Tang a raise too, he seems good at his job.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: I have a 1/2 inch MC torque wrench 058-9643-0 that is factory set in reverse.  The instructions say to twist the shifter cap to reverse direction (there is no lever).  How does it rotate?  What am I missing?

3 Answers
  • A: Some people posting on here said there are no instructions on how to reverse direction. There was in my instructions: "Hold drive tang or socket attached to drive tang with one hand. With the other hand, turn the dial on top of the ratchet head clockwise or reverse clockwise dependent on the desired ratchet direction. Unless stated otherwise, this ratchet is calibrated in clockwise direction only"
