    I'll be getting another

I'm VERY picky. I'm hesitant to buy anything without research. I hope I don't come off sounding like a marketing department advertisement but this tool box is exactly what I need. The best feature is the opening latch. Ignore the other comment complaining about plastic. The latches are tough. Same with the hinges. I've got paint and drywall mud all over this thing without the slightest problem. I've had latches break before and these are not the same. The hinges do not bind or break either. Metal hinges bend and rust. Open with one hand. Grab what you need. Close with one hand. This works every single time. Oh yeah. It's pretty much waterproof which is good for the back of an uncovered pickup truck. I need a second toolbox. I've been searching for the sake of variety but it looks like this one is still the best choice, regardless of which store I buy from.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Fix the handle and it will be a good budget box

The yellow plastic parts of the handle split in half. Now it is more of a mini tool chest, but with no slide out drawers. I do like the detachable sectioned storage in the top and the removable tray on the inside. Metal pins in the hinges was a good idea in a plastic box as well.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Junk

Take a close look at the hinges... yup, plastic and they break in no time. They actually bind up if the lid opens too far then snap off when you try to close it again. A few months old and I'm replacing it with a steel box.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 2 of 2 Questions

Q: How do I return carrying handle to horizontal? I am referring to maximum 26" tool box for above question.

    • A: It just stays in place by friction, you just push on the handle a bit. It locks in place (Open or closed) only by a little tab that slips over another plastic tab to keep the handle from being loose.
