Inexpensive and good for casual work.

This caliper is as good as my eyes can discern. Inexpensive, so if gets wrecked in the toolbox or lost, no big deal. And, no battery to go dead just when you need it most. I keep several on hand.

It is not durable and not even worth 1$, the plastic bends and the metal rod went inside the plastic providing inaccurate measurements
