Works well. You will get a bit of a snipe, but there are steps you can take to minimize that. I got this on a really good sale, so for that price this was a great deal. I would recommend for hobby use.

Got this for Christmas and am pretty happy with it, for the price point you can't really go wrong. My only real complaint it the dust collection leaves a lot to be desired with the shooting off to a side instead of straight out the back side, the collection hood seems to get plugged up quite frequently, but it's easy to take it off and clear the blockage.

A: If you search for the product number of this model (055-6792) this is what you get. It says 12.5 inches and that's because the planer is in fact 12.5 inches. A: It can plane down to 1/8”(3mm),but the wood width must be less than 3”(76mm).

A: It is as 12.5 inch planer and it will accept 12 inch wide board. Note that the max cutting depth should be less than 1/32 inches (0.8mm). If you would like more information before making a purchasing decision, you can also consult the manual under the Resources tab of the product page. Page 5 of the manual will have more specifications.
