Good quality ladder for the price. A little flimsy at full length but I read reviews on fibreglass ladders and a lot of people commented on them being heavy so I sacrificed a little structure for lighter aluminum. It suits my needs perfectly for around the house.

A: The.difference.I.have.FINALLY.discovered.is.the. size.of.the.rung.lock.holding.bolt.and.how.it.is. placed.....also..a.plus.for.the.household.ladder.is...the.rope.is.stronger. .so.when.you.fall.you.have.something.better.to. grab.hold.of.... so.....if.you.want.to.spend.an.extra.40.bucks.for.the.tradesman.go.ahead...

Q: What's the rope and pulley for on the ladder?

A: The extension ladder is made up of 2 parts that slide apart. The rope and pulley enable the user to extend the ladder to a longer or shorter length when it is propped in position. The user pulls on the cord and the ladder extends or retracts. This is very convenient because without the cord and pulley you would have to lay the ladder down to extend it and then with great difficulty, try lifting it into place and then vice versa when putting it away.

A: No , this ladder will not extend to 24’, because extension ladders require at least 3’ of overlap of the fly and base sections. 24’ is the nominal length (two 12’ sections) Maximum extension length is 21’ Maximum standing height on the ladder is 17’
