Good sturdy ladder, I like the position locking system very robust and positive. Lots of options for positions. I have only used it as a step ladder so far, and have full confidence that is will be excellent in all positions

Great little ladder

Needed a ladder but dont have much space to store it. This ladder is perfect, gets my on the roof when extended and can wash the windows in step ladder position. Plus it fold up small enough to store in the basement.

Good ladder ... but not 17 feet

The ladder itself could merit a score of 5-stars, but it took three attempts to get a ladder that met our needs. According to the product manual, 17 feet refers to the "total length of sections", but the "maximum length" is listed as 14 feet, 10 inches. Given the incorrect labelling, the first ladder we bought was too short. The next ladder was found to be badly damaged once I unwrapped it. The third attempt worked out.

A: in step ladder mode it is 7ft tall to the hinge in straight ladder it is 15 ft tall end to end so it is somewhat shorter then advertised.

Q: What is the weight of the ladder

A: It's twice as heavy as a standard 8' stpe ladder but can easily be moved around because when closed it's only about 4 1/2 feet long and 12" wide. I'd say about 30 lbs.

A: This is very adjustable to different positions, the locking device is very easy to use, no twisting or tightning knobs, it's only about 4 1/2 feet long when closed so it easily goes in a smaller vehicle. The stability of this ladder can't be beat.

A: Fully opened as a "V" shaped step ladder it's about 8'. It can be adjusted from 8' to about 5' with a simple adjustment of spring pins that lock in to hold it, 2 on each side.

A: See page 10 of the user manual for pics. Basically, you push in those big blue buttons, and that releases the locks so you can open up the centre angle so it's straight. Then you pull on the blue lugs and extend the rest of the length.
