Product Details

The Mastercraft Grade 1A Aluminum Multi-Task Ladder offers a 13-ft reach, supporting up to 300 lbs, and is ideal for both home improvement projects and professional use. This multi-functional ladder easily adapts to various configurations, so you can use it as a step ladder, extension ladder, and scaffold. Built with lightweight yet durable aluminum, it provides portability along with the strength needed for heavy-duty applications.

  • Simple to set up and adjust for multiple uses

  • Design allows use in 4 different positions: twin stepladder, extension ladder, stairway stepladder and as 2 scaffold bases

  • Once in position can adjust up to 17 possible configurations in 1' (0.3 m) increment height adjustment

  • Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications

  • Extension ladder adjusts to the exact height required

  • Stairway ladder features multiple positions, and is good for uneven ground

  • Scaffold position uses multiple working heights, and separates into 2 scaffold bases

  • Designed with a wide base for added stability and a heavy-duty aluminum construction

  • Portable and compact for easy storage

  • Positive safety locking mechanism ensures safe use

  • CSA Grade 1A

  • Weight capacity: 300 lb (136 kg)

  • Size: 13' (4 m)

  • Ladder Weight: 26.52 lb

  • Note: The market practice on multi-task ladders is to identify them by the equivalent reach height of an extension ladder. On full extension mode overlap is required, but the ladder will allow you to reach 13' (assumes a 5'6" individual with a vertical 12" reach).

CTC sold me a ladder that looks like it was sitting in water as the main flex joint is so rusty.

Questions

1 - 10 of 21 Questions

Q: Why is the ladder listed as 13 feet when fully extended its actually only 11 feet?

3 Answers
  • A: False advertising, they know very well a reasonable person would recognize the listed length as the extended length. No one would presume it was the 'disassembled length'. Master craft is a Canadian Tire brand. They can't even pass the buck. Not to mention your question was 15 years ago and they have been aware of the misrepresentation since then. Appallingly underhanded,

Q: What is the height of the ladder in "Step Ladder" position?

3 Answers
  • A: Fully extended it is 5'3" (63 inches) at the apex of the A frame. However the top step is 4'10" (58 inches) in the A frame/step ladder position.

Q: Does it function as an off-set ladder? I need a ladder for cleaning my gutters. The gutters are low, but the roof pitch is steep. Is one of the '19 configurations' an off-set style (like an upside-down capital "L")?

3 Answers
  • A: Negative, it does not function as an off-set ladder.

Q: What is the weigh rating? 250 lbs?

3 Answers
  • A: I can't say what the manufacturer's recommended max. weight is. However I can say that my husband who is a "big lad" at 300lbs uses this ladder with no creaks, groans, or signs of ware after 2 years of use.

Q: need instructions for 13 ft multiposition ladder

2 Answers
  • A: Ladder does not come with instructions. The two yellow buttons in the middle turn it into a straight ladder. With your hands on the outside you depress them which moves the pins then you can make it into a step ladder or a straight ladder. Just make sure the pins are engaged before stepping on it. The two yellow loops on the third step are what you use to make the step ladder larger (the telescopic part) You give them a pull to dislodge pins which allow you to make step ladder shorter or taller.

Q: Can this ladder be used on stairs, like for painting stairwells?

2 Answers
  • A: Maybe if you got the bigger one. It would only be a 5'3" step ladder and if part of the ladder were a couple steps down it wouldn't be very tall.

Q: How can I tell when the ladder is locked? There are two stickers on the top of the ladder that suggest that the locked and unlocked positions can be seen by the presence or absence of a 'red' area. I cant find any 'red' areas.

2 Answers
  • A: When you can not see the pins with the red line on the inside of ladder.
