Fair product with no written directions

I spoiled several grommets before I could figure out how to position the parts. There were no clear instructions. The tool isn’t strong or sharp enough, so you have to punch a hole in the material yourself for it to work.

Q: hole punch Does this have an attachment to punch the hole as well as compress the eyelet.

A: There is a hole punch built into the eyelet pliers as shown in the "Punch Hole" step in the attached picture. It is the rod with the spring wrapped around it further down the throat of the pliers.
