My extension ladder was scratching the siding of the house and I always felt like it was about to slide sideways if I wasn't perfectly balanced. Used these on my ladder to DIY install security cameras in the soffit, spent hours on the ladder with no siding scratches and feeling solid safe the entire time. Debated standoff arms, but as long as there is no window that needs to be leaned against or need to go on top of the roof, these things are a game changer and the price is unbeatable.

This solved the problem caused by the disintegration of the plastic protecting the old ladders. It slips over the old stepladder but I had to cut slits to fit the extension ladder (thank goodness for my oscillating saw). I also taped it up heavily to keep it in place. Not perfect, but does the job.

Extension Ladder End Caps

I bought these to put on my new aluminum extension ladder. I was a little skeptical of there quality because they are half price of the similar product from the large DIY home improvement store. However they fit very well and are soft and flexible and do the job they were designed for. One thing with these or probably any other brand, the ladder will not collapse to its lowest setting by a couple inches. For me it’s not a big deal.

I got these on sale at the same time as the 21" Multi-purpose ladder. These fit snugly to the ladder ends, and stick to the walls, so that the ladder cannot easily slip along the wall. It also prevented marking the newly painted walls.
