The Mastercraft Dual Bevel Sliding Mitre Saw delivers precision cutting capabilities in a versatile 10-in format. Equipped with a dual beveling blade, this mitre saw can handle compound mitre cuts with ease. The sliding fence supports large material on the base yet slides out of the way for bevel cuts. This Mastercraft mitre saw also comes supplied with a 10-in 40T carbide-tipped blade, dust bag and blade wrench.

Great value when on sale.

It seems to have lots of power, accurate cuts on all angles, BUT, the sawdust catching system is useless.
Even with a vacuum attached, the sawdust goes everywhere. Perhaps with a 60 or 80 tooth blade it may work better. Great value when on sale!

This unit replaced a 15 year old Mastercraft single bevel saw. It was very easy to set up and the dual bevel saves me a lot of time

Damaged in transport.

It was damaged, Mastercraft couldn't send the part and CTC wanted it back to exchange. Other one at the store had similar damage. Got refund.

Bad packaging

bought saw and found carbide blade had rubbed on the table insert causing damage during transport. Called Mastercraft and was informed not a part they had for replacement so transfered to my local CT. Was told to bring heavy saw back and exchange, only to verify other in-store had same issue. looks like a poor packaging concept which causes damage to saw. Had my $$ returned and will now look at another brand at a different store !! My first large / expensive tool from Mastercraft and most likely my last !!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: My saw will not tilt beyond 39 for a bevel setting. I need the full 45.

A: Thank you for your comment. Please refer to page 23- Fig 14 of the product instruction manual. If you do not have a copy of it, you can download a copy from the products resource tab on the website or please see the notes provided below: 45° Bevel Adjustment LEFT and RIGHT (Fig. 14) • Loosen the bevel lock knob (1) and tilt the cutting head completely to the left. • Pull out the 0º stop pin (2). • Loosen the bevel lock knob and tilt the cutting head completely to the left. The mitre angle scale must be at 0º. • Using a combination square, check to see if the blade is at a 45° angle to the table. • If the blade is not at 45° to the table, tilt the cutting arm to the right, loosen the lock nut (3) on the bevel angle adjustment bolt (4) and use a 5 mm hex wrench to adjust bolt depth in or out to increase or decrease the bevel angle. • Tilt the cutting arm to the left to 45° bevel and recheck for alignment. • Repeat above steps until the blade is at 45° to the table. • Tighten bevel lock knob and lock nut when alignment is achieved. The right bevel 45° adjustment uses the same sequence as the left bevel adjustment, just adjust the adjustment bolt to 45° on the right.

Q: Will this saw kind of 4x4 in one pass?

A: Yes, because the nominal size of a 4" x 4" piece of lumber is actually 3.5" x 3.5", which is the cutting depth of a 10" blade due to the collet securing the blade to the spindle.

A: The laser has a separate switch. Please see figure 19 on page 27 of your Owner's Manual. If you continue to have difficulty, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-689-9928. The laser does not operate on a battery. The saw must be plugged into an electrical outlet to provide power to the laser.
