    Worked great!

I purchased this product because the lock on my old wooden door was in a 1 1/2" hole and I needed a 2 1/8" hole for my new deadbolt. I had no wood where the pilot drill hole should be so I needed to depend on the plastic jig to hold the hole saw straight. I put longer screws in to hold the jig in place because of a previous poor review on this product. I drilled slowly to keep the hole straight, and it worked perfectly. Only 4 stars because the plastic jig is not solid so it requires patience to work and not twist away.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Poor design

As with most things you get what you pay for. This thing is absolutely useless. Save yourself the time and money , just buy the Dewalt lock install kit . It costs more but you will have to buy it after you buy this one anyway. This does not stay in place on the door , before you know it the hole saw will twist the entire jig and you will have a giant scrape on your door , just like mine.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: Mandrel onto 1" hole saw? The threaded portion of the mandrel is too big for the 1" hole saw. Am I missing something? I can take the bit out of the mandrel and I can see that there appears to be a smaller threaded portion but I am at a loss on how to seperate it!
