    Perfect for Yard and Home

    We recently moved into a new-to-us house after traveling for a few years. We have had to buy many of the tools that we used to have. A ladder was one. We knew what we wanted and waited until we found a good sale. Within a few weeks of waiting and watching, Canadian Tire had the sale. We bought this articulating ladder and used it the same day to cut down some trees in our yard. It worked perfectly, was sturdy, and allowed us to easily reach the top of the trees. The job was done quickly and efficiently. Next job, cleaning out some gutters. We are very impressed with the ladder. It's much safer than the one we used to have. The only thing is that it is heavy to move around but I guess that is to be expected from something so big and sturdy.

    pour ma part j'aime bien le principe articulé et la plate forme elle est stable et elle convient bien a mon usage mais pour info allez immédiatement vers un 20 pieds articulée voilà

    Good versatile ladder

    I bought this when it was on sale 3 years ago. Still using it. Still working as intended. Still loving it. it's not a perfect ladder but for the sale price and the versatility, you can't beat it. It's not as light as the commercial says it is. I still recall the commercial where this lady placed the ladder into the trunk of the car with ease. I'm thinking, that is one strong lady. it's not super heavy but it's definitely not light either. Another thing about it is the latch mechanism for the bendy part. it's really hard to pull the 2 red tabs to allow the ladder to bend at the joint. It might be easier for someone with big man hand but my wife definitely can't work the latch.

    Q: is it safe to use in all positions as my weight is 210 lbs... it it safe to use this ladder and rely on lock mechanism for 250 lbs capacity in all positions of this ladder because i am worried to use this ladder in bent positions as i am afraid the lock mechanism might break

    • A: These ladders should be able to support you safely up to 250 lbs in the scaffold position. According to the vendor, the testing they do for CSA is for 1000 lbs with the vendor adding a little more for extra safety margin. You have to use the a plank with the articulating ladder in the scaffold position. You cannot use just any plank but 061-1004 which comes in a combo with the 17’ ladder for SKU 199-0997. This plank can also be used for the 21’ ladder as well but we no longer sell the plank (061-1004) separately anymore.
