Best Price Adjustable Torque Screwdriver

I purchased several of these Mastercraft adjustable torque screwdrivers. The price was very reasonable and the quality exceeded my expectations. The screwdriver handle is a nice grip blue in color not yellow as shown illustrate. Bonus I prefer the blue. It comes with 12 hexagon 1” in length bits and a hex drive extension. The bits fit the end cap perfectly which screw on. I’m impressed considering what the market price ranges for this particular tool. Tool time Tim would be impressed. It exceeded my expectations. Thanks Canadian Tire

Very Useful Tool, Instructions Are Lacking

It is easy to over-tighten small screws, so a torque screwdriver can be very useful to make sure screws are tight enough but not so tight that the threads strip. The description in this website does not mention the word "torque" so good luck finding this item. The torque screwdriver works well, but the directions that come with it are pretty useless.The screwdriver has arbitrary numbers for the torque settings and the instructions only give vague recommendations, so I measured the torque provided by each setting. 1 = 6 in-lb, 2 = 10 in-lb, 3 = 13 in-lb, 4 = 16 in-lb, 5 = 19 in-lb, 6 = 22 in-lb and 7 = 23 in-lb. I couldn't measure setting 8 because my scale did not go up high enough. If you go on the Internet, you can find tables of recommended torque values for various sizes of screws. The settings on the Mastercraft torque screwdriver are good for screws from #4 to #10, so it is very well suited for common small screws screws that are too small to tighten with a torque wrench.

A: Here are the torque settings: setting: 1～2 torque: 0.4～1 N.m setting: 3～4 torque: 1～1.6 N.m setting: 5～6 torque: 1.6～2.0 N.m setting: 7～8 torque: 2.0～3 N.m MAX torque:3～16 N.m
