    Poor machining

    Recently got into woodworking and bought this to try before deciding if it's worth it to me to buy a more expensive model. Gave it a go and found that the right side was digging much deeper into the wood. I figured I just needed to adjust the blade and ended up spending a good 20 minutes fiddling with the knobs but still couldn't get it even. I finally took everything apart and quickly realized that the metal body itself wasn't close to being cut evenly where the blade comes out, making it impossible to get an even plane. Someone with metal working tools and experience might have been able to fix that but I wasn't going to try it. Was able to return it with no fuss but will look for a different entry level model. Seemed like a good design otherwise.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    Good tool for quick and minimal use. I had a small door repair job and this did the trick. I would recommended purchasing a more heavy duty tool if your going to use more frequently.

    • A: We do not carry replacement blades for this item. However, you can purchase a sharpening stone and sharpen the blade, like they would with a chisel.
