Great mix of files - all purpose use

My husband was always looking for a file for some reason. Always had to borrow from the neighbor. we were in Canadian Tire today to purchase something else and we saw this set on sale for less than 1/2 the price. Of course we purchased it, and of course it made my husband happy ..... no more borrowing.

Good Starter Set

When on sale this set is an excellent starter set for most users (regular price, the value proposition isn't as high but it's still good).
The file assortment should cover most tasks found in the home and garage.
The cutting surfaces are clean and even.
Rat tails were fairly well done and straight.
The handle and adapter sets seem adequate.
The roll up storage pouch is an odd yellow nylon sewn with a decent vinyl front. It does the job just fine but it stands out as if it were a piece of safety equipment instead of a roll of files. Canadian Tire, please use Mastercraft blue nylon next time.
The closure is two pieces of yellow nylon webbing that are meant to be tied. I would have preferred this to be a square of hook and loop instead, or at the very least, matching cord or string (the webbing doesn't lend well to being tied and untied securely).
Overall a pretty good set of files.

Handy Set to own

Recently bought and have been satisfied with the set.
Set came with every file i needed for metal work and a handy roll case to keep keep the files organized.
Would have given 5 stars if set included a larger handle for the 8" files.

Good tools

This set has a good variety of sizes and shapes, so I'm usually able to find the right one for the kind of work I'm doing. I haven't made a heavy usage of these tools but so far there is no sign of worn so I think they are well worth the price.

never let me down

i bought this set to file down moulding. i usually cut my moulding by hand (coping) but the moulding usually needs fine tuning these files are perfect fo rthis job. i love them.
