Product Details

The Mastercraft Multi-Function Wire Crimper Tool is constructed from durable high-carbon steel with heat-treated edges, preventing the jaws from growing dull. The serrated pliers also feature cushioned grips, which provide additional control when working on difficult projects. This crimping tool can be used to both cut and strip solid or stranded wire between 10-22 AWG, as well as crimp a wide variety of terminals (insulated, non-insulated, ignition and flag).

Not since Red Cliff Alberta have I seen a seen a pair of strippers perform as well as these ones. They have a clean cut and an easy crimper that was able to make a secure connection. Works well with light gauge wire and should be in everyone's home. Finally, a pair of strippers that I can bring home without my wife making a big fuss. These ones wont complain either, when you have to hide them in a closet for a few days. a good buy for the price.

Good tool. Needed to do some crimps in an unexpected situation away from home, and this one was on sale. Normally I use dedicated wire strippers and crimping pliers. This worked well and got the job done. Only slightly awkward having the cutter and crimper sections on the inside of the pivot, but no problem applying the required force.

Q: Are these suitable for crimping automotive ignition wires?

A: Ignition (spark plug) wires have a much larger diameter insulation/sheathing, and tend to have a crimping area that is much longer...they are not normal electrical wires.
