Works as expected and a good value when on sale

Although this item had mixed reviews, it was on sale and I thought I would "give it a chance". In the past, I had used a "biscuit tool" accessory on my router with good success, so I was familiar with this joinery technique. I am please to report that the Mastercraft Biscuit cutter performed reasonably well during my recent uses. The adjustments worked as expected and were accurate. The tool itself is relatively easy to use, but I would suggest that anyone using it the first time perform a few practice cuts to get a feel for the tool. Although no one will mistake the Mastercaft for a high-end Festool or similar machine, it works well enough for light duty home use, as intended.

Poor Quality

The price on sale at $82 is amazing. But the quality of this tool is really low. The adjustment for the biscuit size does not work - it just spins. I got this for one job - first and last time I will ever need a biscuit jointer. If I was going to use it more than once this is a terrible choice. You are fighting it all the time to get accuracy.

Terrible accuracy tool.

Bought this tool on sale for 99.00 at CT. I have used biscuit joiners before, but this one needs some design adjustments. It is impossible to set the height of the cut with the gauge on this machine. Tried several times without luck. The flimsy gauge is difficult to reset as well, didn't even try as I was afraid of stripping the tiny screws. Cuts well, just very inaccurate for anyone who wants to do good work. I took it back and they said I could not get my money back because tool was used. I understand that maybe some people use new tools then return them when finished, but this was a real case of poor design, build on Mastercraft's part. I actually had purchased it with triangle points so they put the points back on my account. Do not buy this tool.
