Terrible in the cold.

I am not typically inclined to leave a negative review but to call this lock weather proof is ridiculous. Of all the locks I’ve owned this one is the least suitable for cold climates. Water runs into the mechanism from the top then pools in the ‘protective’ flap over the keyhole forming an ice plug. Because it’s coated in plastic it is very difficult to heat this lock to thaw it out as well. If you choose to no use this lock in winter do yourself a big favour, buy an angle grinder and a good cutting wheel - you’re going to need it. I apologize to CT and Master Locks for such a scathing review but this is a terrible product for the Canadian climate.
