Q: the manual says induction motor. This website says universal motor which is it?

  • A: "Induction" motors use standard 110 V household current in North america. "Universal" means it can run on both AC and DC current, not usually available in the consumer market.

Q: Does it have to be plugged-in to dispense air? I understand the compressor would not be replenish the tank if it's not plugged-in.

2 Answers
  • A: The question is ambiguous. 1. The electrical cord needs to be plugged in an outlet for the compressor to run. 2. An air hose does not need to be plugged into the compressor for the air pressure to build up in the tank. The compressor will stop running when the desired pressure is reached

Q: my tank gauge fills but has no pressure on tool side therefore no air out put

1 Answer
  • A: There's a chance that the tool hose isn't connecting properly to the tank, probably not though.  My best guess is it's a piece of garbage that stopped working.  I say that because I've come to the conclusion that Canadian Tire store brands have stuck me with trash for my last bunch of purchases.  I simply don't buy them anymore.  If you can, take it back and get something else.
