Related Items are Not Correct!

This is more a response to this website than the product.
I have a Mastercraft scroll saw (55-6715) and required a new blade. Went to purchase blades and saw there are plain ended blades and pin ended blades. Checking this website for my scroll saw the related items only showed plain ended blades. Purchased those blades and drove 20 minutes home, only to find out 55-6715 requires the pin ended blades!!! 🤬

not worth money, even on sale

Was able to make home made fidgett spinners from plywood with my boy. then the blade holder broke (with the blade). new blades just fall off when it starts. evidently discontinued for parts. going to the scrap heap. could have just bought mail order fidget spinners. made around 8. broke after that

J'ai eu cette scie a Noel 2013 et après trois semaines d'utilisation le bouton d'ajustement de la tension de la lame a brisé, j'ai eu droit seulement a un credit en magasin, je ne recommande pas ce produit.

Q: Using Pinless Blades I know this is capable of using pinless blades but is there a trick to inserting it? I have no idea how far down from the top/bottom holder it's is supposed to sit. Then when I flip the tension knob, the blade pops out.

A: The description is wrong. You cannot use pin-less blades.

Q: Why do the blades break My saw breaks blades after about three small cuts. I have tryed tighten and loosening but they break about 1" down from the top pin. I have tryed different manufactors blades but the same thing

A: you might be pushing the material faster than the blade is cutting. As a result, the blade is angled inside your material, causing added stress on the blade.

Q: Saw not working I have the old version of this saw #55-6721-8. I turn on the switch an all it does is make a very quiet hum sound. It may start Ina rare occasion. Any suggestions on what's causing the trouble? Switch, brushes, motor?

Q: I have great difficulty changing blades, is there a trick to it.

A: There is no trick per say but you want to make sure you loosen the blade tension, this will make it easier to change the blade. Check to make sure you are not missing something and go over the instruction in your instruction manual. If it still dose not work call the toll free number for Mastercraft 1-800-689-9928.
