This submersible pump features a suction strainer that removes water from pools, boats, flooded basements and large flooded areas down to ¼” (6.3mm). Designed for temporary installation, this utility water pump has built-in thermal overload protection and rust resistant thermoplastic construction.

    Q: I used to drain hot tub. I hear liquid moving inside now. I didn't notice if liquid sound was in it prior to using. It says not to take apart. How do I know if the liquid inside is oil (i.e. safe to store as is) or water? It sat in air overnight after use

      A: Yes, this is normal. The motor housing is filled with oil for lubrication. The motor housing is permanently sealed and should not be opened.

    Q: I notice when taking pump out of packaging ... Mastercraft 1/3-HP Submersible Utility Pump ... it feels and sounds like it had liquids inside of it ... is this normal and what liquid inside? Thank you for answer

    • A: Yes that's normal! Utility pump use oil to lubricate and keep things on the inside running properly and are usually factory sealed. Why its never a good Idea to disassemble as may cause an oil leak

    Q: Can I leave the pump in my rain barrel while it’s full of water and plug it in to drain it when needed? Or am I supposed to remove the pump after each use?

    Q: I purchased mastercraft 1/3 hp submersible electric utility pump, however when i unpacked the pump did not have the 1-1/4” to 3/4" NPT discharge adapter attached or in the box. Can you please provide the part.

    • A: Mine came with it. It is a 1-1/4 NPTN to a garden hose . Many Hardware stores or farm stores will have it or can get you this part.

    Q: I am looking for a back-up submersible pump that will attach to a battery. Is it possible to buy these separately from the battery? I have a new battery. Everything I see online has a plug.

      A: Yes, it can be used to drain a hot tub. The maximum operating temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. You may also want to consider CTC sku 062-3421. Mastercraft 1/10 HP non-submersible utility pump. It is the same operating temperature.
