Q: How do you set the temperature on the bake? If the knob is set at bake you can't then move it to say 425F or the toaster comes on so you have to leave it on bake and it goes up to over 500F.

A: I've never used it for toast only for cooking food.. I just set the knob to the temp I want and then put the timer on or set it to stay on.. I usually cook at 425 and have never had a problem. Hope that helps.
