Q: Is the block self-sharpening?

A: No it is not self sharpening also be away that unlike your typical knife set this one gets dull a bit quicker as the steel isnt as hard and rigid as your typical knife set... however if you have a sharpener you are okay bacause the knifes work well even if i make it sound like they are flimsy
