Grill like a pro with this Master Chef® S420 Natural Gas BBQ. It can cook, broil, sear and sizzle anything thanks to the 40,500 BTUs distributed through three stainless tube steel burners. You get a total of 596 sq. in. of cooking area – including a chrome-plated warming rack - to create masterful meals all summer long. This BBQ has the capacity to cook up to 25 burgers.

Beware that the igniter may fail within weeks as mine did. Master Chef wanted $22 from me for shipping. Not good enough for a bbq that's 36 days old.

A: They are not attached when you purchase the BBQ, they have to be added as part of the assembly.

Q: I can't connect the hose that came with the bbq to my gas line? The quick connect valve that came with the bbq is a female end, as is my gas line.Is there a male adapter? Can I use the hose without the quick connect coupling?

Q: Do you need rocks or chips in the Master Chef s420? Just bought the Master Chef S420 a couple of weeks ago. It cooks great and we love it. Really dig the electric igniter. Should we have put lava rocks or some other kind of chip/rock in the bottom to help with the grease and all that? Thanks

A: Thank you for your question. Great to hear that you are happy with the product. No lava rock is necessary. The product includes; flame tamers which sit over top of your burners to protect them and also to distribute heat more evenly. The key with this BBQ is to remove the build up off of your heat plates on a regular basis. Because they catch all of your drippings, it is common if too much grease has built up to have flare ups on this part. use a plastic paint scrapper- this works best. Also, I would recommend never burning off grease off your cooking grates at the end of your cooking session. Always leave the grease on your grates to protect them until the next usage. Also, remember to preheat on high and adjust the temperature to medium, or min depending on what you are cooking.

A: Thank you for your question. No, your BBQ does not require lava rock or any other type of radiant because it uses heat plates to channel the grease away from the burners and catch drippings. The key is to keep the heat plates free of grease by cleaning them often with your grill brush to avoid flare ups caused by built up grease. Hope this was helpful.

Q: Where can I buy an extra set of cooking grates? I went CDN tire to buy some more and they do not sell any in this size or any masterchef ones at all. They used to when I purchased this model but not anymore, why don't you have spare grates for sale when you sell their BBQ's?
