La plaque chauffe très rapidement, mais elle fait tellement de bruit et odeur de brulé au début. Est-ce normal? On a acheté une batterie de cuisine pour induction (Batterie de cuisine antiadhésive Vida par PADERNO, bleu, paq. 8#142-7916-2). C'est bien écrit quelle est pour les plaques à induction. Est-ce la plaque qui a un défaut?

Il est normal qu'une plaque à induction chauffe très rapidement et qu'elle émette un bruit caractéristique lié à l'énergie d'induction, mais il ne doit y avoir aucune odeur de brûlé. Pour un fonctionnement normal de cette plaque à induction portable MASTER Chef, il est important que le diamètre de vos ustensiles de cuisson soit compris entre 12 cm et 20 cm. CustomerCare

this product, is a game changer, however it is way too large for most surfaces, IMHO. Very powerful, probably isn't really necessary, it is acting like an oven? It is only used for cooking small-batched foods, for myself, perhaps, I was too zealous in purchasing a large cooktop such as this one. However I do enjoy using it. Easy to keep clean, and the temperatures are correct when using. I did invest in a food thermometer, just to be sure, my food is properly cooked. The ease of having it portable is also good..Good product! Thanks

Q: Is There a Way to Shut It Completely Off Without Unplugging? The On/Off switch doesn't seem to work like an On/Off Switch. Switching off still leaves the On switch lit with dashes in the information bar. You turn it off (completely) by unplugging? The manual is unclear about this. Did I get a defective unit?

A: When I press my power button, all of the lights turn off except for the power light, which blinks (indicating it’s still plugged in). My fan will typically keep running until the unit has cooled down though, even if the rest of it has turned off.

Q: I hear you can only use magnetic cookware on the induction cook top. Can the non magnetic cookware be made magnetic by attaching some way a magnetic base to the non magnetic cookware. i think i read somewhere one can.

A: Master Chef's portable induction cooktop works with a pressure canner. The canner must be flat based, ferrous metal (stainless steel, iron), and the pot diameter no larger than specified in your instruction booklet.

A: They can be used with regular pots and pans provided the bottoms are magnetized. You can test your pots and pans very easily with a magnet. If it sticks you are good to go. It seems most newer pots are ok.
