THIS IS GOOD FOR WHEN WE JUST WANT A QUICKI BBQ FOR A FEW, BUT WHEN YOU HAVE A BIGGER CROWD, IT IS TOO SMALL!

I have had this BBQ for a long time. It is a bit of a nuisance to clean. I bought it for the motorhome to save fooling with propane tanks. It needs to be kept on high to do the job; but overall I am quite pleased with this. It well does the job I want done. It isn't a 52,000 BTU gas BBQ, but it isn't the price of one either!

My kids bought this for me since I moved into an apt.After using it for 3 months, about 9 times, it quit.I am going to try to return it.This is the second bbq I have purchased at Canadian |Tire that quit on me.I purchased another one before I moved.Very disappointed.....

After reading the reviews for this product, most of them positive, I decided to buy this electric barbeque. I will say it does cook, but unlike the other reviews I didn't get that barbequed flavour and could have done just as well, no better, if I used the broiler in my oven. Now I'm stuck with it and cannot afford to go out and buy another barbeque. I feel like I just threw away $100.00.

Q: Smokeless? I live in an apartment and wonder if this item is smokeless i.e. if grilling a steak would there be a lot of smoke or a piece of salmon?

A: watch your heat salmon use pan with a bit of water beneath the rack to catch grease

Q: What is the wattage? I think that determines how hot it gets, doesn't it?

A: It took me 45 min. to cook a hamburger. Heat is not consistant. there is no where for the grease to exit the BBQ s it sits on the reflector plate and it continues to burn. Since the reflector plate is under the heating element, there is no way to clean out the grease.

Q: Can bbq be used indoors? Has anyone tried to use this indoors? It says you can't, but I don't know why this would be different from any other electric bbq...it has the same heating element as an oven.

A: I have this unit and I wouldn't recommend using it indoors. Last winter I had a craving for a steak and so I used the bbq in my garage and with the amount of smoke that was produced I really don't think that you'd want to use it indoors. The smoke is pretty hot and there's a chance that it might discolour your ceiling or cabinetry. It's not like a regular indoor grill, but really much more like a bbq in terms of the amount of smoke that it throws out.

Q: Is there a stand for this BBQ? Just wondering if there is a stand that is sold for this BBQ? I currently have it on a table, but bring it in after each use, because I don't want to keep it on the table.

A: I don't have a scale to weigh it but I would estimate it to be about 4 - 5 kilos (about 10 pounds). I suppose you could transport it on a plane because there is no propane tank involved - but the extra baggage cost might not be worth it..
