New stoves don’t always work to specifications. To ensure my oven reaches the set temperature, I use this oven thermometer to make sure the oven temperature is right and my baked goods turn out great every time.

Q: How do you know it is accurate?

A: I bought this oven thermometer and another brand to compare to a third I already had. Placed closely together in a hot oven, they all eventually read the same temperature given enough time, but my original one responds the fastest. They're all dial thermometers for oven use like this one. Not a whole lot one can do as a consumer to check that the manufacturer has accurately calibrated an oven thermometer.
