Dutch Ovens are most of the time over priced while in essence they're all the same but with cosmetic difference, rarely of measurable highest quality to justify the pricing. This discounted price for the piece replaces it in the right spot in terms of quality/value. So yes it's a very good kitchen appliance and I hope a durable one. Time will tell...

Purchased this item recently promotionally priced on a CLEARANCE deal. Great price on an attractive kitchen item which appears durable, stain resistant to date and easy handling (weight) by self and spouse. Attractively coloured, excellent lid fit and certainly durable. Looking forward to sourdough baking with and anticipating room for 2 loaves at a time saving oven energy consumption.

Disappointed in the delivery time.

The dutch oven is great for the price. The only thing that I found disappointing was that I requested same day delivery when I placed the order with Canadian Tire. I ordered on Monday 8 December 2025 and only received it 2 days later on Wednesday 10 December2025.

A: Soak your pan in 1 part water and 1 part vinegar, after 1/2 hour scrub with scrub brush or steel woolly and dry and then re-season your pan with oil.

Q: What material is the knob on the lid made of? Can it withstand 475F for bread baking?

A: It's made from the same materials as the rest of the pot. I use it to bake bread all the time and it works beautifully.

A: Can you put an enameled Dutch oven on a campfire? Campfire cooking. Dutch ovens are perfect for campfire cooking, but make sure you use the heavy, traditional cast iron pots rather than the newer enamel-coated Dutch ovens. Y

Q: Has this product been tested for lead, cadmium, arsenic, etc.? My present enameled cast iron pot says that it is lead and cadmium free, but I do not see any mention of it in this product description.

A: I do not know whether this product has been tested but the FDA does test (randomly) such products for lead and other contamination. Most of the time the problem of leeching comes from glaze that is red, orange or yellow, as lead is a pigment that was used to create these colors. It was banned for commercial use several years ago (and now even house paints have replaced lead pigments) . Today this problem is not very much present in large-scale commercially manufactured cookware as the lead pigments are no longer used, and this one is blue.
