The colander worked better than expected.

Good size holes to separate small seeds from larger seeds in a mixed bag of seeds It is made of plastic, so it was easy to enlarge the holes slightly with a drill.

I love these strainers. I was hesitant at first because there is no temperature rating but they have stood up to multiple uses with boiling water. They are study and light. Small feet on the bottom allow them to sit flat without tipping. The handle makes straining so easy. The shape makes it easy to pour the contents I to another container. The two nest for easy storage. They do not fold flat but I find that type break easily at the fold points.
