I used this item 3 times and the probe broke off I will never buy another master chef item again! After using it once and it worked I threw away the receipt so I couldn’t return it! The unit was garbage

This unit i purchased at Brockville, Ont. Canadian Tire. Used it 3 times and it fell apart! Absolute garbage. DO NOT purchase a master chef product! Can't return it as I threw out the receipt after the first time I used it and it appeared to be okay

A: Its metal i believe its stainless i have had 3 - first one lasted a Long time - no discolor on probe or rusty or chipping of metal- i find the temp is a bit off on them they show lower by a few degrees - still they are decent and better than some- hense why I have 3 - 2 Now one for bbq outside

Q: How doyou know when it’s at it temperature? (Chicken is suppose to be at 165) Do u wait until it stops increasing?

A: You only put it in the chicken when you think it might be done. You don't leave it in chicken not Recommended to leave it in the oven.

Q: What battery does this actually take? CT website says LR44 but LR44 not only does not fit, it doesn't power up the device. I tried CR2032 and it does power the device properly, but the case cannot close back with a CR2032 battery installed.

A: The battery CR2032 is what is used in this item. To replace battery, remove the screw on the back of the thermometer. Pull on tab to slide out the battery compartment and remove old battery. Insert new battery following the "+" polarity symbol. Replace battery compartment, ensuring it snaps into place. Replace screw and tighten.

Q: I bought this last summer and worked as designed till today. Changed the battery because showed LL F and I thought this was indication of low battery. After changing battery same display and does not register any change in temperature.
