Came damaged

Bought for a birthday present. Upon opening it was apparent it was damaged with a pallet jack, gas valve snapped off and dents in the BBQ hood

BBQ perfect for summer

I assembled it from scratch, took me a bit of time, like maybe 3 hours because I was not just doing that. But I found the manual is really easy to follow and all pieces were included. Overall, I would say for the price it is a good comprise quality/price, can't complain for now. It seems to be heating well overall, just like most BBQ, the edge parts heat less than the middle, so needs to be checked and when all the burners are on, even on the lowest heat, it was too much, so I had to be careful and watch my meat. I thought 5 burners were going to be too much, but actually once you have some sausages and burgers plus de bread on top, it's the perfect size for BBQ party.

Bbq does not heat up to 350 degrees even. Tried resetting the regulator but that does not work. Need more btu than what this pumps out. Also, does not work in the wind at all. Wasted $330 on something we can’t even use. Do not recommend.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. You mentioned that you have already attempted to reset the flow limiting device in your regulator. Did you know that you could be tripping this safety feature all over again if you continually preform an incorrect lighting procedure? Most importantly, open your LP cylinder shut off valve SLOWLY before starting your BBQ. If you turn the LP cylinder valve too quickly, the flow limiting feature in the regulator can sometimes think there is a leak in the fuel line, and restrict the amount of fuel to the burner as a safety precaution. Meaning even if you JUST performed a regulator reset, if you perform the incorrect lighting procedure afterwards, you could trip it all over again!

To correct, perform a regulator reset procedure. To avoid activating this safety feature going forward, always perform the correct lighting and shut down procedures.
For your convenience, I've included a link below to step-by-step videos for how to reset the flow limiting device in your regulator and an additional video for the correct lighting sequence.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes. The propane tank will side on the left-hand side of the BBQ, on the bottom brace, which is secured to the side of the grill with a steel wire to hold it in place. Q: can you change the orifice from propane to Natural gas

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The Master Chef Discover 5 Burner is NOT able to be converted to natural gas. Its CSA certified Liquid Propane ready only. A purchase of a natural gas conversion kit would NOT be able to be used on this unit: There is a difference between a propane only valve assembly, and a convertible valve assembly. Unfortunately this grill is 100% not able to convert to natural gas as the orifice are not removeable. These types of kits are not interchangeable because every valve has its own specification. Hope this helps!
