Best Grill/Smoker

This product is solidly built and has performed better than expected. It's so much more easier to refuel and add more charcoal than the dome type charcoal grills I've used before. It's also easier to clean the ashes out. My only criticism is that they didn't provide a grill cover, and I'm having a tough time finding a universal grill cover that fits this design.

Loving this charcoal bbq. Well thought out design, easy to clean the sliding charcoal drawer. Grates have a spot to hook for easy maneuvering. The costumer service through both Canadian tire (deciding which bbq) and master Chef support was fantastic as well.

Q: Is it easily portable?

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The Master Chef Charcoal Barrel Grill is moveable with the heavy duty steel wheels. However, at over 100lbs it isn't considered a portable grill. For example you can easily move it from one side of your deck to the other, but we wouldn't recommend wheeling it down to the park for a picnic. Hope this helps!

Q: Can you burn wood instead of charcoal

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, wood chunks provide a powerful burst of heat and flavour. However, you'll want to use a combination of charcoal and wood chunks, you can build a substantial fire in the firebox. Adding soaked, flavoured wood chips or chunks will provide smoke and additional smokey flavour over a longer time period. It is recommended to check the fire every hour during the cooking process. Add charcoal and wood as required to maintain the desired cook temperature. Hope this helps!
