Thank you for taking time to leave a review. Do not use Lava Rocks or Briquettes in your gas grill. The Master Chef 280 Grill uses a Heat Plates system instead of lava rocks/briquettes. That Heat Plate performs the same function as Lava Rocks, deflecting the flames from the burner and providing even heat distribution throughout the grill. The Heat Plates also produce the traditional grilled flavor as lava rocks do by incinerating all the food, marinade and sauce drippings. The addition of lava rocks/briquettes could change the function of your BBQ by reducing the evenness of the heat distribution and cause problems/issues with the burners.
If you're experiencing heating issues, you may have activated the flow limiting device in your regulator. To correct, perform a regulator reset procedure. For your convenience, I've included a link to a step-by-step instructional video for how to perform a regulator reset: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RN9fgmfX9hI

It is a nice BBQ and easy to assemble. I was not able to properly install the igniter and as a result I require a lighter to start the BBQ each time. a bit frrustrating. But it does cook nicely.

Best affordable bbq . Works great had no issues with it . I bought one a year ago and just bought a second one for my b&b . Would recommend, does what the expensive bbq’s do

- A: With the lid closed there is only about 8 inches of space between the grate and the lid, so it’s not a good prospect for making beer can chicken.
