Woods Marquee Canopy Camp Shelter

Easy to set up and large enough to go over a picnic table or sit 3-4 under with a small side table. Tolerant to wind if extra stakes are used. Good construction with a distinctive look.

We brought it on one camping trip the day after we bought it and the tarp had a line of holes along what we assumed was a seam from when it was packaged and sitting in storage. It worked for the day we had it up but only because there was no wind and no rain. We returned it but we're only able to get store credit because it was already opened and we didn't want the same product because of this.

I was looking for an alternative to the accordion style, heavy, pop up shelters that seem to need replacing every year or two. I am optimistic this is it. Easy to set up, surprisingly high quality pole system that is super intuitive. The canopy itself is cut to deal with a fair bit of wind. Overall very happy with this item and would not hesitate to buy it again.

Bought this shelter in September, used once. It works really well! But when we pulled it out this year, one of the corner grommets just fell out, making a corner of the shelter completely come apart. But no problem, it has a year warranty. Tried to exchange it for a new one, and the Canadian Tire tried to block it, saying the warranty is 7 days (like Woods tents. Which is shocking. Tried to exchange a Woods air mattress last year that leaked the very first time I used it. But it had a 1 month warranty, so I burned that $200). I was determined to not lose another $300s to Woods, so I fought hard for the exchange, ultimately got it because the website said it had a 1 year warranty. But like many woods products, that will likely be changing. Take a screen shot of this product if you buy, so you have something to refer to when they fight you on your entitlement, especially considering how Woods is shortening their warranties, obviously because the products are being produced cheaper.

A hidden camping gem. I was going the tarp route, to provide me and my dog sun shelter during our camping trips. Came across similar products to this but this imo proved to be the better product based on my research. This proved true. I used it this past Aug long weekend and loved it. It definitely provides space for 8 people to sit, throughout the day it blocks the sun very well, I placed our double chair in the middle so we were enjoying full coverage all day long. We camped for 3 days, no issues. We even got a test in a thunderstorm with strong winds, the shelter compressed as a quality tent would and retained its shape bowing and rebounding with the wind. I had it pegged down in the four corners and the four guy lines. I did not add a guy line, provided, to the centre front or back look on the shelter. In contrast my tent, which had 2x the pegs and guy lines had to have to reset. I am thoroughly impressed by Woods product and it now gives me the confidence to buy one of their roto-molded coolers I had my eye on, instead of the overpriced... I call it a hidden gem because I had 2 people ask me what it was and where I got it, both were really impressed with it. It's that good and that good looking. A hidden gem.
