The customer must check with their product manufacturer for further instruction.

A: Maple Leaf Travel converters are meant only for personal electronics items like travel hair dryer, digital camera, shaver, etc. For other appliances such as below, you would need to check with the manufacturer of the machine directly.

Q: Does this product work in Switzerland? Will I be able to use this to charge my laptop, camera and phone there? Also does this work for hairdryers and hair straighteners/curlers? Would I be able to leave an alarm clock plugged in?

A: Please note that Maple Leaf Converter (SKU # 76-2349) comes with a built in grounded European plug, which will fit most electrical outlets in Europe, including Switzerland. The converter will work with any electric and electronic equipment under 60 watts, including computers, laptops, curling irons, shavers etc.

A: Ne pas utiliser avec les fers à aolatir, Ne pas utiliser avec des ordinateurs portables car ils sont généralement mieux classés que les 60W et se surcharger le transformateur. Utilisation avec un / caméra chargeur de batterie de téléphone portable serait bien. Il est essentiel que vous vérifiez la plaque signalétique WATTS sur chaque appareil, et ne utilise que des produits nécessitant 60 watts ou moins. A: Hello,You would have to find a North America adaptor and due to the voltage a step up transformer will be required. Above all, the recommended action is to contact the manufacturer of the product prior to confirming what can and cannot be used - Especially when you no longer have the instruction. The Maple Leaf 60W Transformer is a Step Down transformer. It transforms 220-240V to 110-120V (not the other way around). I hope that helps you in determining what to do next. A: Do not use with hair straighteners. Do not use with laptops as they are generally rated higher than 60W and would overload the transformer. Using with a cell phone/camera battery charger would be fine. It is essential that you check the rating plate WATTS on each device, and only uses with products requiring 60 Watts or less. A transformer keeps the AC output waveform the same as the input and so should not have any effect on small electronic devices and/or devices that cannot tolerate a chopped/modified waveform such as a standard converter.
