Magnet fell out

It was really flimsy. When I first put it up, one of the magnets fell out and I couldn’t get it to stay. Any type of breeze would open the other magnets. Ended up returning, it wasn’t worth $29.99.

very disappointed in the quality

we have had the magic mesh doors several times and always been satisfied with their performance. this during it was time for a new magic mesh door so after we purchased it qe were excited to get it installed. as soon as we took it out of the package we found " strings" hanging from the seams! we trimmed these off and installed the door. We did find the adhesive didn't work so for the first time we had to use tacks ( provided in the kit)
everyday more stray fibers would be hanging and it looked like the edging wouldn't last so I contacted Magic Mesh directly to see what the solution to this fraying was.
magic Mesh tersely told me this is normal ( odd never had it happen on any other Magic Mesh doors in the past)
and we needed to keep trimming theses stray strings.
well her we are 2 month later and the entire door has literally fallen apart! Turns out these " stray strings" were holding this door together.
obviously the quality of this product has declined drastically. we will look for another brand going forward
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Cet article est composé de deux panneaux et chaque panneau fait 19.5 pouces de large x 83 pouces le long pour un total de 39 po x 83 po. Étant donné que l'installation des panneaux se fait par dessus le cadrage, il faut calculer qu'au moins 1 pouce de chaque côté sera perdu après l'installation et il en va de même pour le haut de la porte. Donc l'ouverture de votre porte ne doit pas dépassé 37 pouces de large x 82 pouces de long. Un petit truc si jamais l'ouverture est légèrement plus grande :.. installez simplement une petite tringle de bois à l'intérieur de l'ouverture de votre porte d'environ 1 pouces d,épaisseur et installez le Magic Mesh directement sur cette petite tringle. Vous gagnerez au moins 1 pouce de plus de chaque côté ce qui vous permettra d'installer cette petite merveille.

A: Each panel is 19.5 inches wide therefore total width is 39 inches. Each panel has a 1 inch strip that is for fastening to the outer door frame, therefore taking that into consideration, if you measure from the inside of the doorway (not including the exterior door frame) it will be 37 inches.

Q: Can the screen be taken down without damaging the door frame? If so, can it be reused?

A: It’s held into the frame with pushpins, does not ruin the door frame. We can use ours 2 years in a row, but probably not more than that (the screen begins to fray)

Q: Does it have weights at the bottom? I have mice and I suspect they're just walking right in the door when I leave it open. I would only buy this if I thought they couldn't slip underneath it.

A: This mesh screen is not the full height of the door, and I have several inches at the bottom where there is no screen mesh. Also, the mice will chew their way through this in seconds if they want to.

Q: The pictures show the mesh installed on the inside, can it be installed on the outside? What would the approximate "life expectancy" be if it's installed on the outside in Nova Scotia winter weather?

A: Mine is installed on the outside of my door, but going into the sun room, so it is not exposed to weather. I would be concerned that the strong winter winds would rip this right off the door frame. Also, if it gets covered in freezing rain, I don't think it will hold the weight. If the door where it is installed is in use, I think it would be a real nuisance to have to brush/push this mesh open while wearing a thick parka etc.
