      Great With LED Christmas Lights

General Electric warm white LED Christmas lights were too bright for our Christmas tree. This solved the problem. Works great.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Will this product work as a speed control for a 120V, 24 watt cooling fan? The fan is too noisy at full speed. I want to slow it down so it is quieter.

      1 Answer
      • A: No, the lamp dimmer will only control lighting not fans (too much load). If the product is hardwired, the customer can use a hardwired fan dimmer (products 52-8605 or 52-8607).

Q: Why does it need a 100W bulb to work ? These days I do not typically use 100W bulbs, what would happen if lesser wattage bulbs were used ?

      1 Answer
      • A: The website is incorrect in that it doesn’t need a 100W bulb. It should say the following: 'Controls dimmable compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs or dimmable LED's up to 100W. Also controls Halogen/Incandescent Bulbs up to 250W~60Hz. So any wattage bulb can be used up to 100W. Our website will be updated to reflect this.
