Good begininer telescope !

EQ 1 Equitorial Mount , 4.5 " Reflector Telescope. This is an excellent first telescope. #1 you will have to learn how to set up (polar align) the mount and tripod. Then you will be able to track objects well. #2 you will be able to see Saturn, it's rings and it's moons, Jupiter, it's cloud belts and it's moons. Orion nebula as well as really crisp views of the moon. Even the Great Andromeda Galaxy easily. #3 This scope for it's price is an excellent learning tool to help you decide wether or not you want to get into the hobby and spend a whole lot more. #4 This mount will accept easily an aftermarket clock drive that will help track objects. #5 you will learn why this scope is not good for astrophotography but excellent viewing, having fun, and fairly quick and easy to set up once you learn the basics. Just treat it with care, telescopes are delicate .

J'ai acheté ce télescope, mais malheureusement, j'ai dû le retourner parce des pièces étaient manquantes. Quelques vis et un plateau et peut-être plus. L'assemblage est difficile puisque la compagnie a fait UN manuel d'instruction pour TOUS ses modèles de télescopes. Ça devient donc facilement mêlant en plus que ce n'est pas très bien expliqué. Mis à part ça, j'ai aimé la qualité des matériaux qui portent à croire que le maniement du télescope est précis et aisé. Il n'y a malheureusement pas d'étui pour pouvoir le transporter facilement.

Q: How does thiis compare to the Celestron

A: Celestron telescopes that are of the same aperature and mount are exactly the same. They are probably made in the same Chinese factory, just a different label and paint. But like everything else, the more money you spend, the better the product. Having said that Tasco does not make a larger aperature or better mount. This is Tascos best telescope but is not Celestrons best. This is Celestrons bottom of the line styled telescope. This Tasco telescope is a good first, beginner telescope for the reasons I have already posted.
