Filter does not soak in this oil

Purchased this item at 75% off on liquidation and now I know why they cleared it out. The sponge air filter does not soak this oil in and turned the airbox into a mess. Another reviewer also had this issue.

Does not stay on filter!

I purchased this to use on my dual sport motorcycle air filter, only to find that it does not want to stay in the foam. I made sure to squeeze plenty of excess oil out before installing but still had a pool of oil in the bottom of my airbox after a few days. Little oil remains in the foam, so now I am going to purchase filter oil from a motorcycle dealer.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I have a foam air filter for my car, do I just cover it with this to oil it? Any other oil products for foam filters? Thank you

1 Answer

A: I would say that if the manufacturer of the air filter says it should be oiled then I would say yes that our air filter oil product will be the correct application. A little bit of the product goes a long way and the best and cleanest way to oil the filter is by putting the foam air filter in a plastic bag adding a little bit of the oil and working the product around the filter inside the bag. Like I said a little bit of product goes along way and you can always add more but you cannot subtract.
