The unit is what I expected at this price point. The biggest frustration was finding the information to properly mount and adjust the transducer. The manufacturer did not have the document available for download. They offered zero help to obtain the information when I requested it. After realizing that it is called a Skimmer Transducer, I found the multiple page pdf document online. Be patient when setting it up, and then the learning curve begins. It has helped me locate and catch fish, which is all I hoped it would do. If you have a bigger budget move up in the product line.

Ive owned for over a year. Quite simple to operate if you know how to read and follow directions. Lots of utube videos if you'd rather watch. I think most bad reviews are either other competitors or people that expect an affordable product to perform like a more expensive. Not reasonable reviews

No transducer mounting instructions

Unbelievable that they can send a fishfinder unit and. It include instructions on how to mount the transducer. Kind of an important detail, no?? Not going to bother trying, thing I'll just send it back and go to a different company's product.

Better off without one than with this product

This came new on my 2017 tracker sc16. Since day 1 as soon as I get up on plane it will go too 100+ feet on depth and has to be reset. Never shows a true bottom, picks up wake and shows as fish on the screen. I have set the minimum depth alarm several times and has never gone off. I am not sure if their other products are of better quality but this would serve a better purpose tied to my anchor.
