disintegrated after 12 months

Purchased in May 2013 and used continuously to May 2014, only in June 2014 did I notice that it was starting to fall apart from sun damage. One month over warranty and distributor unreachable, no credit possible. I then purchased the 88-0414-8 which got great reviews after owners tested it over two complete 12 month periods. Spend the extra $10 and get the other cover.

I would give these zero stars if I could. They are garbage. The cushions on my brand new set are ruined as these covers leaked water and they are now water stained.

Très utile et assez grand pour mettre d'autres coussins sous la housse. Le plastique de la housse sèche et craque rapidement (donc n'est plus imperméable) si laissé souvent au soleil.

Q: Is it waterproof? Does it protect cushions from rain?

A: If we are talking about product 88-1126-8, then it does appear to be rainproof as long as it is not allowed to deteriorate due to exposure to sunlight. Mine was installed on an unshaded south facing balcony and it fell apart in its 13th month, just slightly out of warranty. Buy the better version 88-0414-8 instead for $10 more.
