It happens nearly every time I BBQ. It's a huge hassle and an even bigger design flaw.

Louisiana Grills Pellet Grill CS450

Really great product. Did a lot of research, many brands to choose from. CS line is made in Canada, LG line in China. Still, many good reviews on internet.
Solid construction. Easy to set up.
Heats up to 500F under 10 minutes with 15C outside temperature.
Cooked chicken, sausages, pizza and steaks. All turned out better then expected. Smoky flavor is present even when the food is cooked at high temp, 400F+.
Used Louisiana Grills pellets. Canadian tire has the best price on the pellets and the grill itself.
Digital control is amazing. Easy to use.
Very happy with the purchase.

Excellent Smoker

Purchased it at the start of the summer and have been using it weekly at the cottage. Excellent temp control, not a single complaint so far. Only smoker that I'm aware of that is made in Canada and not in China.

Love this BBQ

Been wanting to buy this BBQ for a while. It went on clearance and couldn’t pass up the chance to get this at a great price. Love how it cooks. Chicken comes off juicy and tasty. Haven’t had a chance to smoke anything on it yet but cooks everything to perfection. Great product from a Canadian company.

I have recently acquired this BBQ and totally awestruck by the results of cooking so far.
Imagine setting the desired meat internal temperature, the grill temperature, forget it and come back after 2 hours, and it's done to perfection, and the BBQ is keeping it warm for you by reducing the grill set point to 170 degrees F.
Simply brilliant!

A: Hi 92pete, Canadian Tire has discontinued the CS450. Though there may be a few units poking around, do check with your local store to see if there are any remaining in your local area. Althought Canadian Tire now carries our LG800 Elite pellet grill (http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/louisiana-stainless-pellet-grill-0853742p.html). Featuring the same burn system as our Country Smoker series, LG Digital Control Center, programmable meat probe, Flame Broiler and 600°F maximum cooking temperature, but with a stainless steel construction and lower cabinet enclosure.

A: This is difficult to answer as it will depend on the type of pellets you purchase. Use only all natural wood pellets, designed for burning in grills. At this time, there is no “Standard” for BBQ wood pellets, although most pellet mills do use the same standards used to make “Home Heating” wood pellets. Further information on this “Standard” can be found at www.pelletheat.org or the Pellet Fuel Institute. Check with your local dealer on the quality of pellets in your area and for information on what can be expected from various brands. There is additional information in the manual located in the manual tab that explains how to care for your grill and pellets. Please note that CT also sells the Louisiana pellets in 3 flavours: Apple SKU: 85-3695 Competition: 85-3696 Hickory: 85-3697 These are noted as having a long burn rate.
