    Not legal for street use

    The tint on the cover is pretty dark which is definitely not legal for street use. Even clear covers are not legal (but rarely enforced) but the tinted covers will give you more trouble with the police if you are involved with other traffic violations -- it's another excuse for the cops to add more infractions if they feel like it. Besides that the chromed plastic is rather cheap and the domed plastic cover is prone to scratches, damage and distortion.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    Scale of 1-10....-1 One year later plastic made snowflake like designs, contour "chrome" its shinny plastic it too faded. Would expect this item to ne sold at dollorama..

    • A: I like the way Canadian Tire states: "Check local regulations regarding use". Licence plates are covered by provincial law and the highway traffic act, not some "local regulations". And that applies to ALL provinces.
