    I purchased this to keep my now 21 month old out of a closet that she loved to pull things out off. It did exactly what it said it would do. She isn't able to open the door. It was easy to install and does just what it says it should.

    Installed fine, but did not stop the door handle from turning at all. Maybe I just do not have the correct door handlers, but either way the product did not work.

    We have three, one on the pantry, one on the supply closet and one for the bathroom. Easy to install and keeps the kids out of those areas. We have had them up for over a year and they still work fine.

    Q: Has anyone tried this or any other latch locks to prevent their dog from opening the door? My dog is highly intelligent obviously as he knows to swiftly jump at the door and put his paw on the handle. Anyone else have this issue. Send help lol

    • A: I have tested this on my 1 year 59 pound golden retriever. I locked her in the basement, and when I came home she was at the upstairs window. The dog hit the lever handle, as the sliding lock moves quite easily and forces the latch open.The door lock was broken when we returned home. Waste of money, trying the door guardian.

    Q: Can they be taken off and only put on when toddler is visiting and do they mark up the door

    • A: It comes on and off easily, it just gets sandwiched between the lever and the door. Just remove the lever and put the lock between the door and lever and re-attach the handle to the door. I recommend having a second pair of hands to help during installation.
