Amazing build

I brought this for my son but he was too busy with other Lego sets so I started to finish this set off for him. Every building was exiting as something unexpected would be built. Like the Dojo with Garf (brown Ninja) and his student. If you can get hold of this set, you'll find it really exiting but build it with your children as they'll learn quite a bit from this set. Highly recommended ;-)

More than expected

The box the set came in was BIG. I did not expect the build to be so detailed and extensive. This is not a set for a beginner. The amount of pieces and the instructions not stating exactly where each piece goes can be overwhelming. The complete build took me about seven (7) days - working on it in the evenings after work for about four (4) hours a day. There were so many pieces that it was blinding. When I was done, I was tired yet happy to see the finished product. I could comment on the cost being high but in comparison to the piece count, it was very reasonable. I do have both sets so they can be joined together. I was fortunate to get them both before they were reitred. Very satisfied.

A great set all around

Bought this set and built it with my two children age 5 and 9. It was a very fun and interesting build which was complicated for me to enjoy. The 9 year old who does a lot of lego building was able to do most of the set, but had some areas that were hard. The 5 year old had parts he could build, and enough of them for him to stay engaged and enjoy himself. The set looks great and I had purchased it as a display piece and for the fun of building it. The play feature of knocking over the fruit stand though has produced hours of joy for my children knocking it over and gleefully watching me put it back together. They also have enjoyed having lego figure battles across the city and the soda machine. So it has also been a big hit on the play side. We are currently 2/3 of the way through Ninjago city now and the docks overall I think was more fun all around, although it takes up a larger foot print making the docks harder to find a place for.

Sharp looking and colorful

Took about 10 days to build. Not overly hard nor easy. Very relaxing build. The stickers did drive me crazy, but I did get over it. Great value for the money as compared to Star War Lego sets. Look forward to more Ninjago sets in the future.
