Steam Train 🚂 but without the steam

The set and smart functions really left me grinning like a small child. However i would like a coal carrying cart behind the engine and three passenger carts in total so that the train has some substancial length. At least the carts should be available separately or the cart wheelset chassis so that the kids can build a cart on it.

Fun train set with good compatibility

My 2 year old son loves this set, but had to buy the extra train track set to make it worthwhile combination wise. Took a gamble that this track would be compatible with other duplo trains, it is (see picture of Toy Story 3 Train), which made it even more fun, because you can have the moving motor part on the carridge, not just the main train. Great set!

Lego normally does much better

Would not recommend this set for several reasons. First, it eats through batteries very quickly. 2nd, it has to use batteries, there is no way to just push the train without battery use. 3rd, it struggles getting over the duplo bridge. 4th, its has glitches. Overall a neat concept but, in my opinion, lego over complicated this one and made an expensive bin filler.

I have a variety of nieces and nephews well they are my grand nieces & nephews that enjoy building Lego and being creative! I just have to wrap the legos and I’m ready for Christmas.

Blends the best of old and new!

Trains never get old but this set blends the best of good old fashioned trains and sophisticated sensing and sound. Great fun for ages 2.5 to 65. Just a tip, buy more tracks because it makes it even more fun.
