I have to date installed 3 of these light fixtures, and there are 5 more to be done. I am impressed with the light output, it's great. The only thing left to be seen, is how long they last. In reference to the individual who stated that they can be difficult to install, just be informed that if there is an existing base connection box, forget the adapter bracket that came with the fixture and align the pre-drilled holes in the base of the light fixture to the ones in the box, and just screw them in, the screws are long enough to compensate for the slight recess of the box if not, you can buy longer ones there, you're done.

Had installed for less than a year and quit working. Canadian tire doesn't stock anymore so bad situation. Get what ya pay for ? I guess.

Simple to install and looks great

We bought one of these on sale to replace a similar-looking flourescent fixture that cost 3 times as much when we replaced a 50's style incandescent. This fixture gives full light right away, unlike its predecessor. Installation took 10 minutes using the supplied bracket. If it takes any longer, you probably can't tie your own shoe laces. My only gripe is that, when the fixture does burn out (and my experience with other leds is that they do have a limited albeit long life), the whole fixture requires replacement. At 50,000 hrs, I suspect it will last longer than I will. Even when it does go, it's such a good value that it won't break my heart or my wallet to buy a complete new one.

A: The description is erroneous, the box states that it's dimmable to 10% along with a list of dimmers so does the Energy Star listing: https://www.energystar.gov/productfinder/product/certified-light-fixtures/details/2303227 Tested to be compatible dimmers (not implying others don't work): Lutron DVCL/TGCL/CTCL-153P Lutron PD-6WCL Leviton 6672/6674 Also, it's 1120lm and not 900lm

A: Hi, Patsy, Please find the side screws holding the diffuser, and loosen them until you can remove the diffuser. Be carefull of making sure you would not drop the diffuser and damage it.

Q: I purchased this light but the ground wire is not a copper wire I'm used to. The ground in the junction box is too short - can I attach this green ground wire to a green screw on the mounting plate? Or does it have to be twisted with another ground wire?

A: If the green wire (ground) is in contact with junction box is OK, the unil will be grounded.
