Noma outdoor string c9 bulb sets are terrible. The wires break on the individual bulbs for no reason and set shuts off. Replaced a few bulbs on 3 different sets bought.last year. Buy a different brand.

Never purchase the last item that has staples though the display package. Prior to leaving the store we did test the part that checked the Xmas light itself on the tool and it worked. I was satisfied and departed with the item. Since no instructions came with it ( maybe missing from previous purchaser or the store itself ) had to rely on internet. After several attempts to use the pincers it was evident that this portion of the tool was inoperable ( thus probably why it was returned ). I had to revert to the old fashion way of testing the lights(one at a time ) till I located the faulty one. This cost me a minimum of 2 hrs. of driving .NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASED A PRE OPENED ITEM AT C.T.

Finally fixed my LED Tree!

I spent hours last year trying to find the faulty bulb that killed the lights on a big section of our tree, and was ready to give up and buy a new tree this year. Having read mixed reviews, I was skeptical but gave it a shot. WORKED LIKE A CHARM!! Found the bad bulb in less than 10 minutes. Note that the picture shows a red one, which is the non-LED version so if you have LEDs make sure to get this (yellow) one.

Works well

Got tired of returning lights and buying new ones, so I purchased this tool. Works as described and saved me lots of time and hassle. Right off it fixed several strands no problem. I can see a number of reviews online that say it won't work for people but from my experience it takes a little effort to figure out and then works great.
