Picked this up when it was last on sale thinking it would be great for camping - couldn't have been any more wrong. The material is very very thin and it shredded almost immediately. Save you money.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Would it be useable as a pool cover for the winter?

A: The 40-5082 Tarp comes with a durable 14x14 polyethylene weave and if secured tightly and properly it can be used to cover outdoor living areas and pools. That being said, environmental factors such as heavy snow, ice, or animals can potentially lead to the tearing or puncturing of any tarp after prolonged or intense exposure. For greater effectiveness we recommend purchasing one of the SKUs below, depending on the size of your pool and whether it is above ground or in ground. Q: I purchased a 20 by 40 Pit Stop blue tarpaulin. Can you tell me if it breathes and is it water proof. I want to cover a RV trailer in the winter.

A: This tarp is non-permeable. Thus, it does not breathe and it is water-resistant provided there are no rips or tears. It will be suitable for covering an RV trailer for winter storage. Ensure that the edges of the tarp are secured and that there is minimal loose material to avoid tearing in the wind. Additionally, you may want to consider upgrading to a heavy duty tarp (such as product #40-5064, 20x40’ HD Tarp) with 14x14 weave if you are leaving the RV trailer for long periods or using the tarp over multiple seasons.
